The first thing You will do is shift the Ford logo from the front of the hood to the side (it swivels) to open the Ford transit hood, insert the key and turn it around. This opens the hood and then You twist the key all the way to the right to allow the hood to unlock entirely. Sometimes through wear and tear the latch or cable can break which will cause the hood to not be able to open. If this happens You may have to go underneath the vehicle or fit a screwdriver through the grille to push the latch and unlock the hood to open it. The Ford Transit hood if broken the latch or cable can be replaced and will only cost about $30 - $50 for parts.

To open the hood of a ford transit, move the ford emblem on the front of the hood to the side (it swivels), insert the key and turn it. This will pop open the hood, and then you twist the key the whole way to the right to allow the hood to fully open. Alternatively, you can use the interior latch, which is located in the driver side footwell, to the very far left.
