Resetting the oil light indicator on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra needs to be done after the vehicle has been serviced. Begin by making sure all doors to the vehicle are closed and turn the ignition to RUN, which is the first position. Navigate to the "trip" option in the instrument cluster by pressing the system selection button a few times. Press the button again until You see a TEM or KM reading in the multi-info display. When prompted, hold the accept button and then hold down the OK button for approximately 5 seconds. Use the scroll forward option to highlight ASSYST PLUS. Do this again until You get to FULL SERVICE, and select OK to confirm. When prompted next, select OK again, and then use the back button to get back to the main menu. Turn the ignition to the OFF position, and then start the Elantra to make sure the reset was saved.
