The Ford Flex has a universal homelink garage door opener that is in it and that can be progRammed to operate garage doors and power gates. ProgRamming it is pretty simple to do and just takes a few steps. First You will need to turn the vehicle on and get the remote for the device You want to progRam. Hold the remote 1 to 3 inches away from the homelink button in the vehicle. Next You will need to press and hold the button that You want to progRam, while simultaneously pressing and holding the button on the remote. Continue to hold these until the light in the car flashes slowly. After that You can press and hold the button for 5 seconds and the garage should open or close.

Press and hold the transmitter button and the homelink button you want to assign the garage door to at the same time. Watch the light on the homelink system. When it shifts from a slow blink to a fast blink, you can release the buttons. Press and hold the homelink button again, by itself, for 5 seconds.
