Removing the bed on a Ford Ranger is a very involved process. You usually will need impact tools, sockets, and it can be useful to have a crane available if You do not have 3 to 4 people to help move it around. The first thing that You will need to do is remove the tail lights from the bed and the tailgate from the bed. Make sure that all the wires are hanging down and near Your frame. After that You will need to get under the truck and unbolt the bed where it connects to the frame, and where it connects to the main cabin. When it is free from those connection points You can slide it back and then lift it off.

Remove the truck bed liner and locate the bolts along side the truck bed. Undo the bolts to remove the bed.

Remove the truck bed by decoupling the fastenings underneath and desecuring the bolts keeping the bed in place.
