To reset the oil light on the Toyota Tundra, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uLgVH_1X7A Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If you don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience terrible gas mileage. Knocking noise may come about from the engine.

To reset the oil light on a toyota tundra: turn your key to the "on" notch, and press your trip odometer knob until "trip a" is displayed. Turn your key to the "off" notch. Press and hold the trip odometer knob. While holding the knob, turn the key back to the "on" notch. Wait for the system to reset. Continue holding the trip odometer knob while the "----" symbol flashes on the odometer. Release the trip odometer knob when "trip a" is displayed again. Turn your ignition off, and then turn it back on. The "maintenance required" light will be reset.
