If the ABS light has turned on in Your Jeep Wrangler that means that the ECU has detected a fault somewhere in Your antilock braking system. Usually this happens when Your vehicle loses traction and it will also turn on Your traction control light. To reset this light You will first need to inspect Your brake system. Always make sure that the brakes on Your car are in working order and free from damage or debris on the rotors or calipers before You reset the light. When You know that Your brakes are functioning normally then You can use an OBD II scan tool to clear the code that was thrown that caused the light to turn on in the first place.

Your Jeep Wrangler's ABS Light goes on as a self-diagnostic process fails. When it is on, it means that the Wrangler does not have anti-lock braking and the protection that they offer. Your Wrangler ABS system uses a sensor device to assess the speed of the axle while braking.
