Some models of the Ford Transit are not equipped to disable the daytime running lights because they are considered a security feature. In other Ford vehicles they can be disabled by visiting the car's main menu and information display. Scroll to "settings" using the "arrow" and "ok" keys on the left side of the steering wheel. Select "vehicle" and then "lighting". Scroll down to "daytime lights" and tick this option using the "ok" button. Move the headlight control knob to the "auto" position and the DRL's will be enabled. To turn off the DRLs untick the box in the settings menu. Note: they will remain off even if enabled in the main menu if the control knob is not moved to "automatic".

Using your steering wheel settings menu, scroll to daytime running lights and select on or off depending on the preference you are seeking.
