You know who's an expert on turning off lights My dad. He's never entered a room where he didn't find a switch needing to be turned off. That same principle applies when dealing with the interior lights for Your Dodge Charger; You need to flip the toggle switch on the dome lights, if they remain lit after You've turned off the car ignition, otherwise, You're going to run down Your battery (and likely also disappoint someone's father). If You're certain You've switched these off, the next thing to check is that You've shut all the doors tightly. Beyond this, sometimes the detection switches for when the doors are closed stick, and the signal that they are closed doesn't reach the ECU; You can try depressing the door latch by hand to quickly test this. A final ditch method, before You need to start tracing the wiring for the switches, is to run the vehicle for five minutes, and then turn it off, removing the key from the ignition. If none of that works and You need an interim solution until You can take it in to the dealer, You can simply remove the bulbs!

To turn off the interior lights in a 2019 Dodge charger, press the buttons surrounding the dome lights along the doors and roof.
