I have a 2013 F 250 super duty 6.0 engine. It was idling and then the wrench light and check engine light came on. It idled very rough and went into limp mode. I let truck sit for 1 day. Re started it and drove it with out the wrench light on and it was no longer in limp mode but check engine light was on. Let it sit 1 more day, restarted it all lights were off and truck ran smoothly. It ran for 30 mins and then shut it off. An hour later I restarted it to drive it and the wrench light was on, rough idle.and wimp mode was back. Please help? What could this be?

I had a similar problem with my 6.0. The wrench light and check engine light would come on anytime my boost gage got over 20 psi. Right above the heater blower motor there is a black switch with a plug and a black hose connected to it that goes to the waste gate on the turbo charger. It's job is to shut the engine down should the boost pressure get too high. Mine was opening too soon. Mine truck was a 2005 F350 crew cab.
