The EPA has issued guidelines which say that a car must have 110 and 119 cubic feet of volume and at least a maximum length of 196.8 inches, but the Chevy Cruze doesnt fall under these requirements so strictly speaking, it cannot be called a midsize car. Although, it is advertised as a midsize vehicle on their official website. It is considered as a compact car which is easy to handle in traffic and tight parking spots. It still provides ample passenger space despite being a small vehicle. The new 2018 Chevrolet Malibu is specifically advertised as a midsize sedan and it can be considered one as well. It can be a better option for You if Youre looking for a bit more space.

For a mid-size car, the epa says it must have between 110 and 119 combined cubic feet of volume and have a max length of 196.8 Inches which the chevy cruze does not so no it is not a midsize car.
