The 2020 Toyota Tacoma is not classified as a half ton truck. If You want to get a half ton size truck from Toyota You will need to look at the Tundra. A half ton truck is generally what is considered to be a full size truck these days. When You think of a half ton truck You think of Ford's F-150, Chevy's 1500 series, an Ram's 1500 series. These all are larger in size than the Tacoma, and usually have a bigger engine and higher tow capacity as well.
