My sunroof/moonroof switch does not work. I think rain got inside and burned out the motor. Its a 2015 lincoln MKC

The switch or moonroof motor is out if Your moonroof does not open and You think rain got inside of Your 2015 Lincoln MKC. Bad motors may make a normal motor noise but the noise gets louder and quieter as it turns, or do nothing at all. Try the switch to see if You get any movement at all. If no noise at all, it might be the relay. If there is noise, but no movement, it might be the motor or the guides. A power moonroof should offer two forms of functionality. First, it should tilt up at the back. This allows it to be used as a vent while Youre driving, without having to open the entire window up. Second, it should retract almost all the way into the roof to allow in the fresh air. When closed, it will let in light, but not air.
