The Ford Fiesta ST model is known to suffer from loose and worn motor mounts. Some dealerships claim that the ST's engine is mounted with standard Fiesta mounts that fail over time in conjunction with use of the manual gear shift and more powerful engine. The Fiesta ST's engine is equipped with 80 more HP and 100 lb-ft more torque than standard models. In general, the front bolt and passenger side mount fail first. Drivers will notice excessive room between the assembly and the motor. Repair specialists claim the main bolt is not torqued properly at the factory level. Signs it needs replacing include vibrations while accelerating; clunking when shifting gears, exhaust damage and a sagging motor when viewed from the bay.

Some of the symptoms of a bad engine mount in a Ford Fiesta are impact noises coming from the engine bay, excessive vibrations, and engine movement.
