Certain model years of the Ford Fiesta have been plagued by stalling at highway speeds or from a stop due to a failed fuel pump. The issue has arisen repeatedly at 65 mph or less and causes owners to lose all power to the vehicle. Some report getting the car started again after multiple attempts, only to have it stall again. In most instances the car had to be towed. In all cases the problem was diagnosed as a failed fuel pump. The repair was so common it became part of a NHTSA recall #15V005000. It affects Ford Fiesta vehicles manufactured April 10, 2014, to June 17, 2014 and began began on February 27, 2015. The fuel pump in these models will fail due to improper nickel plating of its components. Owners should have it replaced without charge at a qualified dealership.

Well have they come up with a new fuel pump to solve the problem or are they just installing the old nickelplated ones?
