By far the most common complaint about the Ford Transit Euro 5's engine is that it just... Stops. Loses all power. And usually, according to many drivers who've experienced this, right about when they're driving in a storm. What's worse is that these events happen when this van's barely broken 1k miles. Not a very good first impression! This behavior is particular to the 3.7 liter V6, and according to Ford's nomenclature, is a "body throttle failure". While they'll fix it, as it's certainly covered under warranty, it's not the sort of problem You want to have with a new vehicle. The other good news, though, is You're unlikely to see many of these on the road here in the States.
