The Honda Accord sudden acceleration problems are clogged fuel filter and d***y air filter. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most critical parts of the vehicle. You will face issues at some point. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be solved quickly. Delayed shifts can cause acceleration issues. The transmission may slip. You might experience shudders. Hard shifts may arise and that is no good. There could be jerking. The gears can become stuck.

I was pulling into parking place in outdoor parking area, going about 2 or 3 mis per hr when car suddenly accelerated very rapidly. I had foot on brake & as I stepped on it, it accelerated more - only stopped as it hit 2 parked cars - causing damage to all 3 vehicles. Thank God no injuries. Damage to mine $4,500. Extremely dangerous. No question foot was on brake. Now very concerned about safety of car. Car is 2020 Honda Accord 1.5 EX-L
