The most well-known problem, by far, for the voice recognition on the Honda CR-V, is actually getting it to pair with Your device. This is the biggest user complaint: That no matter what they do, they can't get the bluetooth to properly establish a connection, even when it's previously worked. For normal operation, You hold down the button until the prompt to speak, and say the name of who You want to call. This is what many users state no longer works. For a remedy, You can bring the Honda into the dealership and ask them to update the software; this has worked for some drivers, but not all. Additionally, You can try erasing Your phone and then trying to repair it to the car, but that also can fail, leaving You with little options if You're one of the lucky people to experience this problem.

Honda CR-V voice recognition issues are usually caused by a frozen infotainment system.
