As the owner of an INFINITI QX60, You may be concerned about the possibility for problems with the cvt transmission in Your vehicle. While there have been a myriad of complaints in regards to the transmission, most of them have been the typical type expected when a vehicle isn't kept maintained properly or regularly. You could experience symptoms such as shuddering and shaking of the undercarriage. You also may have an issue with slipping or gears getting stuck in one position. I have a 2014 QX60 which just came up with a transmission error code at the dealer while in for service. I was informed that Infiniti will pay for any required repairs including a new transmission. They did not do a recall, but did send a service notice to the dealers about the CVT transmission issue and stating they will cover the repair costs.

If the INFINITI QX60 is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
