Some of the most common problems with the 2013 Mercedes SLK 250 include oil leaks and engine failures. Reports of a damaged hardtop have been made by some of owners as well. These problems may make this vehicle an undesirable option for some people, but these issues are generally addressed by the manufacturers. The engine problem is by far the worst issue with the vehicle. A ticking sound can be heard during the cold start process of the vehicle which tends to go away on its own. This could be a minor problem with exhaust baffles which may need to be replaced promptly. The manufacturers have thankfully provided repairs for these issues at multiple points, but they still seem to persist despite their efforts.
