There are not any active recalls for the door handles on a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. If You have a problem with the handle then there is likely a problem with the linkage to the latch. The door handle on Your vehicle uses a metal rod that connects from the handle assembly to the latch that is at the edge of the door. If anything comes loose in this connection then the handle will not work properly. Another reason Your door may not unlock is if there is a problem with the door lock actuators. If these fail then the door will need to be manually unlocked to be able to use the handle to open it.

In the 2017 hyundai elantra, damaged electronic power steering (mdps) connector resulting in a loss of electric power steering assistance causes a recall.
