The 2019 Honda Civic has a CVT transmission that is included in it as standard. CVT transmissions in the past have been known to be problematic, but they have gotten better over the years. Even though they've gotten better there still are some known issues that can happen. A CVT uses a piece of metal that gets larger and smaller to give it a constantly variable gear ratio, which should work to help improve fuel economy in Your car. The problem is this piece of metal is held in place by belts and they can get damaged or break. You usually will notice the vehicle shifting poorly between gears and possibly shaking when there is a problem with one of them.

If the 2019 honda civic cvt is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
