The most common 2005 AudiA6 3.0 TDI problems include electrical issues as well as chain tensioner problems. The main electrical issues in the car are usually caused by ECU and alternator problems. When the ECU or alternator fails it will lead to the vehicle not being able to run. They are both very different parts, but they do control the engine and power distribution. Another common problem is with the chain tensioner on the timing chain. When this spring wears out it will lead to the chain being loose and then the engine may miss timing. I recommend getting these things checked on the engine before You purchase a used one.
