There aren't any climate control problems specific to Your BMW 3 Series, beyond those You'd typically encounter on any vehicle. You should expect that sometimes You'll not have hot or cold air when You've specifically wanted it; this happens because of failed vent actuator arms, leaking hoses, and malfunctioning A/C compressors. Additionally, the knobs You use to specify the settings can also become broken. If You need to manually reset the climate control system, try blowing warm air on the interior temperature sensor; the climate fan should increase. If this isn't the case, then unplug the battery cables and leave it like that for 10 minutes; this should reset all systems, not just the climate control one.

The main issues with the air conditioner and heater on the bmw 3 series include the fan motor going bad on the vehicle, and the wire that powers the ac shorting out.
