One of the most obvious Kia Sportage rear differential problems is a grinding noise while making a turn. It can be followed by leaking fluids as well. These loud grinding noises garner a lot of unwanted attention from passersby which can be annoying for a lot of owners. In some cases, the differential can fail as well which will result in an inappropriate stalling of the vehicle in short intervals while driving. Many owners have also reported issues with the check engine light being triggered by the differential. Using the correct differential fluid can help keep the parts running properly.

If the rear differential in your Kia Sportage experiences grinding noises while turning or leaking fluids, it may need replacement or repair.
