The most common air conditioner problem reported for the Mazda Mazda2 is a failed blower motor. This is easy to identify because there is generally no air blowing at all. The average cost to replace this part is $460 to $490, including labor. A failed evaporator condenser is another common problem and a bit pricier to address. This service work will generally run You between $820 and $940. Also, Your vehicle could be out of refrigerant. Unfortunately, this is most commonly associated with a leak, so identifying the leak location needs to be done before filling it with more refrigerant. A bad blend door can be to blame, as well. This door controls the amount of air that gets pushed into the cabin. If it fails or gets jammed, it can't respond to temperature change requests. Lastly, You may have a faulty clutch cycling. This switch activates the compressor using an electromagnetic clutch.

Air conditioning problems on the Mazda 2 can be caused by a refrigerant leak, bad AC condenser or a failing AC compressor.
