Beyond the typical issues of not doing proper maintenance on Your vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz C-C-Class63 AMG does have some problems that are rather specific to many of the year models within this product line (which, obviously, will differ depending on the year of release). FroM2007 to 2011, there was an issue with head bolts failing on the M156 engines. Because of the expanding and contracting of the bolts, coolant would escape and corrode the tops, and then mix with engine oil, eventually leading to head gasket problems, bent rods, and ruined engines. The next issue, froM2011, involved A-A-Classction suit due to the camshafts, lifters and bearings wearing out prematurely. The allegation was that the soft metal used in these components were improperly heat-treated, hence the short service life. While the suit wasn't successful, it did raise awareness to the oil peculiarities in running the M156.

Most of the problems you will find with the mercedes c63 will come from not maintaining the vehicle and can include engine failure, transmission failure, and wear and tear on the brakes. As long as you keep to the vehicles maintenance schedule however there should not be an abundance of issues. Other common issues can include bad brake pads, old oil in the system, or burned out wires. These things should be checked over if buying used.
