The TPMS has been known to frequently malfunction in the Porsche Macan and owners complain of inflating tires to the recommended PSI of 36 for the front and 39 for the rear, only to have the system emit a low-pressure warning. Some have been able to switch the warning light off by deflating and then re-inflating the wheels. In almost all cases inspection found faulty wheel sensors to be causing TPMS malfunction. <\[> The system uses data collected from the sensors to detect a drop in pressure. If they're d***y, damaged or compromised, a TPMS warning will be triggered incorrectly. The Macan's low-pressure light can be shut shut off by accessing the reset feature in the driver's information center or have the sensors individually scanned at a service center to diagnose.

To reset the TPMS on the Porsche Macan make sure the tire pressure is correct, then turn on the vehicle. Now hit the reset button that is to the right of the steering wheel and wait ten minutes. In some cases you may need to hold the button down till the light flashes. If the sensor is not working correctly then you may have tires with incorrect pressure, and the car can get bad performance.

Neither one of my Macan GTS's have had a "button" to press for resetting the tpms sys to the right of the steering wheel. Unless she's talking about the thumb controls on the steering wheel which control the MFD in the instrument cluster. Because that doesn't work. Hence why it's a service campaign now.
