The Subaru Ascent moonroof problems have been reported from numerous consumers such as damaged seals leaking water and the sunroof issues that will not allow it to open or close. With the seal damaged it will cause the roof to make noise because it has wind entering the opening causing a whining noise. The cost for a replacement will moonroof will vary from $75 to $150 depending on if its an aftermarket or OEM product. These problems are known by the manufacturer but have not been addressed. The problems will not be initially a problem but over time the wear and tear of the vehicle will cause some problems.
