Some of the Subaru BRZ automatic transmission problems are very difficult to change gear and noisy in certain cases. The gearboxAnd clutch are the most common cause of these issues. Your clutch only engages through friction, so if there's no material there to provide that friction, then Your clutch won't engage properly. If Your clutch is slipping, You'll feel that as You release the pedal and accelerate, Your vehicle will move slowly, while the engine revs higher.Driving Your car while the clutch is broken will quite likely cause further damage either to the clutch, the gearbox, the shifter, or Your starter motor. Clutches tend to fail in one of two ways “ either suddenly or gradually.

Tina S - The automatic brz gearbox doesn’t have a clutch!!! Only the manual geabox does. The automatic gearboxes on the BRZ have ZERO issues.

Certain years of the subaru brz have been subject to noisy transmissions and average cost of repair has been in the thousands. No recall has been issued.
