If Your 2000 Chevy Silverado is experiencing intermittent electrical issues or diagnostic codes that trip and then reset on their own, it may have a grounding issue. The electrical system in most vehicles runs on 12 volts, it gets this voltage from the battery which is charged by the alternator. In order for this system to function properly it must have a good connection to the positive 12v terminal of the battery and also to the ground terminal. The Silverado has many ground points throughout the truck but the main ones to check are located in the engine bay. These will be wires connected directly to the block of the engine and will connect to the firewall, the core frame support and the sub frame.
