The factory installed sound system in the 2000 Chevy Silverado single cab included a set of 6-½ inch speakers in the front doors and a pair of 4x6 inch speakers mounted in the rear pillars. Replacing the front speakers is relatively easy, You only need to use some simple hand tools to remove the door panels and unscrew the speaker. Since they are a very common size You will have no problem finding a replacement pair that fits the budget and quality requirements You have in mind. The rear speakers are a bit harder to work on since the rear pillar coverings are large and You must remove a lot of the surrounding panels plus the seat belt mounts to get to the factory mounting location. Once You have them off though it is as easy as replacing the stock 4x6s with the aftermarket one.
