Auxiliary switches, or aux switches for short, are used to regulate electrical performance within vehicles. On the Ford F-250, the aux switches relay information to the ECM, and are specifically responsible for telling the ECU whether the circuit breaker is open or closed. They are typically attached in pairs, and work as two-switch combos. Larger cars may add more aux switches, but they are always added in pairs. As a result, a larger car like the F-250 may use more than one two-switch combo. These are directly attached onto the NF frame in a Ford F-250.
