The most common problem with the TPMS system in a Chevy Colorado is usually caused by a dead battery in the TPMS sensor. The sensors in your vehicle's wheels have batteries in them and in general you should replace these every time that you put new tires on your truck. If you do not then that could lead to a sensor failing and that will turn the light on at the dash. The other common issue with the sensors has to do with the receiver in the vehicle. When the receiver starts to fail it can lead to the vehicle not being able to properly display the tire pressures. This can also lead to the TPMS light turning on at your dash.

You must screw the valve stem cap back onto the end of the valve stem to reset the chevy colorado tpms. Switch the ignition key to the "on," or second, location on the ignition but don't crank the engine. Press and hold the reset button on the instrument panel before blinking begins with the tpms light and then exits.
