If the Chevy S-10 has fuel pump problems then You will find a couple of things happening. First and foremost You will notice that the car has random or sluggish acceleration, or in some rare cases surging. This is because the car is getting the incorrect amount of fuel sent to the engine, so it is under or over p[performing. Secondly, You may shake or shudder when You are idle, and this can lead to stalling. This is again due to not having enough fuel. A fuel pump is connected to the fuELRail on the underside of the car. It simply bolts on, so it is easy enough to replace. If You need to get a new one it will cost You about 300 dollars.
