When a check engine light comes on in a Honda Crosstour, it means an issue has been detected with the engine or emissions system. A solid light means it's still safe (for now) to drive the vehicle, but it needs to be serviced very soon. A blinking light tells You that You should park the vehicle and not drive it. The most common cause for this light to come on is a loose fuel cap. The cap keeps fuel vapor contained and ensures the system remains at the correct pressure. Your battery might need to be replaced, which can trigger the light. You will need a group size 35 battery capable of 650 cold cranking amps. You might also have an issue with the spark plugs, ignition coils, oxygen sensor, catalytic converter, mass airflow sensor, or exhaust gas recirculation valve. Lastly, an aftermarket alarm not connected properly can cause the light to come on, as well.

A loose gas cap is the most common reason for a check engine light to come on in a honda crosstour. However, it can also be the result of a misfire, low coolant, spark plugs, emissions leak, or faulty o2 sensors.
