The GTR in the Nissan manufacturer cars are listed as a Gran Turismo racing. The Japanese manufacturer chose to use Italian naming conventions when naming the car to help create more sales in western countries. The Nissan GTR is listed as a supercar and felt that they should create a great name to show that they have a powerfully crafted machine. The Nissan has had a great heritage for racing and they mirrored the design of the GTR to pay tribute to the racing team of Nissan in the mid-90's. The cost for the Nissan GTR has a listed price of $80,000 to $120,000 depending on the options chosen by the consumer purchasing the vehicle.
