The "change engine oil" message in Your Ford Fiesta will usually mean the car is due for an oil and/or oil filter change. The required amount for the 2019 model year iS4.3 quarts of SAE 5W-20 synthetic oil. This is including the new filter. There are times when the message will remain even after You've changed the oil. To reset the system You will need to turn on the ignition but don't start the engine. Using an OBD-II scanner, select the Oil Reset icon after which You'll see the manufacturer information. You can choose Your vehicle and then select auto reset. Press the OK button. You can find the OBD 16 pin connection located just above the footrest on the driver side.

If your ford fiesta has a light letting you know that you need an oil change then you should get the oil changed. If the light is on by mistake you can turn the ignition to the on position and hold down the brake and gas for 20 seconds and it will clear.
