If You see the TC light on Your Chevrolet Impala, it means that the traction control system has been activated. When this happens, power to Your engine is being limited when the system has detected the drive is losing some control of the car. This is normal to see when the car starts to slip or lose traction on the road. That said, if the TC light comes on and stays on, especially outside of slippery road conditions, it means that something is wrong with the system. If You live in a dryer area, this isnt usually a big deal, but if You live somewhere it rains a lot, this can make driving more dangerous, so You should consider getting it fixed. The average cost to fix the entire traction control switch is around $80 to $90 for both parts and labor.
