Removing the rear driveshaft on a Ford Ranger is a pretty complex project and You will need to use a lift, impact tools, sockets, pliers, and screwdrivers to get it removed. Your driveshaft is attached both to the rear differential and Your transmission or transfer case. First You will need to remove the driveshaft from the transmission or transfer case. To do this You need to remove the pin that holds the yokes together as they exit. Usually You will need to use an impact wrench to loosen the torque on this and pry it out. Once that is loose You should remove the yokes where they meet at Your rear differential. With both yokes loose You can slide the driveshaft out towards the rear and drop it down.
