The Ford Transit Van may throw a P1103 code if the onboard diagnostic system detects an irregular and high voltage from the MAF, or mass air flow sensor. The Transit's PCM collects data from the MAF and the P1103 indicates the sensor is sending acceptable (within range) but higher than normal voltage readings. The most common causes of this code involve faulty wiring harnesses and loose electrical connections or d***y, obstructed or damaged sensors. There also may be a vacuum leak present in the emissions system. If Your vehicle scans for this code, You may have already noticed a reduction in fuel economy, acceleration power and stalling while idling. Cost to replace the MAF sensor ranges from $170-$220 in parts and labor.

The powertrain control module (pcm) stores a p1103 trouble code when the voltage signal from the mass air flow (maf) sensor is higher than normal but still falls within the range specified by the manufacturer.
