The 2010 Chevy Tahoe uses SAE 5w-30 fully synthetic motor oil. You can also use 5w-20 oil in the engine. Including a filter change, You can fill the vehicle with up to 6 quarts of this fluid. You will pay between $4 and $11 per one-quart bottle. You can get the oil from most major retail stores, at any automotive parts or accessories location, or from various reputable online sellers. Before changing the oil, make sure You have a $1 to $4 funnel to aide You in avoiding spills. If You instead choose to have it replaced by a professional mechanic, You are going to have to pay an additional $30 to $174 in labor.

Chevy recommends using SAE 5W-30 engine oil for the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe. If the temperature falls below -20 F, you can use SAE 0W-30 oil or SAE 5W-30 synthetic oil in order to help with cold starts. No other viscosity grade oil is recommended.
