The Ford manufacturer suggests that the 2016 Ford Focus use Motorcraft SAE 5w-20 engine oil to comply with the wss-m2c930-a Ford standard. You will need about 4.5 quarts of oil when removing the oil in the engine, and note to change the filter as well. Due to the additional advantages, it is also recommended to use synthetic oil versus traditional oil. Synthetic will provide improved overall safety and performance for Your engine. Some of the additional advantages of synthetic use are that it is more chemically stable, more difficult to break down and lose lubricating characteristics, and less likely to acidify or oxidize. The standard oil is cheaper, but because of the inferior lubrication it provides over time, You will still have to replace it more often.
