The size of the steering wheel in a Chevy Avalanche can vary from 14 1/2" to 15 ½", depending on model and make. This, of course, is the outside diameter of the wheel itself. The part which is gripped has a diameter of 4.5 inches, which is standard in Chevrolet vehicles. Production for the Chevrolet Avalanche was halted in 2013, as it had stopped being very profitable for Chevrolet. It was, however, a part of a series of pickup trucks that included the Silverado and the Colorado. Unlike the more successful Silverado and Colorado, the Avalanche was produced for a while and then abandoned. It is, however, a solid pickup truck and a viable alternative to both the Silverado and the Colorado.
