The Chevy Venture uses DOT 3 brake fluid in the vehicle. DOT 3 fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid that is moved from the reservoir to Your calipers through the brake lines. If You notice that You have low brake fluid then there is likely a leak somewhere in the system. The most common place that a leak will develop is on the lines where they either meet the calipers or the reservoir. If You have a brake leak then I recommend that You replace the components that are damaged. Having leaking brakes can be a very dangerous situation and can lead to Your vehicle not being able to stop.
