Your 2002 Chevrolet ExpresS3500 uses either Dexron III or Dexron ViATF Automatic Transmission fluid. Normally You won't need to top this off, but if You notice trouble with shifting or other odd behavior with the transmission, this is a good place to start. A gallon of Valvoline MaxLIfe, part number 773775, will run You about $30 at a brick and mortar car place. To check the current transmission fluid level, You'll need to pop the hood, and with the vehicle running and parked on a flat service, pull out the dipstick from the transmission fluid reservoir and verify the level is within the marked ranges.
