If Your 2017 Ford Edge check engine light turns on the first thing You should do is try to park somewhere so You do not damage the engine more. When You are stopped somewhere safe You should use an OBD II scan tool to read the code that is stored in the ECU that made the light turn on. There are many reasons the light can turn on in Your SUV. It can be something as simple as a loose gas cap, all the way up to something as serious as camshaft and connecting rod problems. The only way to figure it out is to read the code in the ECU and then repair the part that made it turn on.

Common causes for a check engine light to be triggered in a 2017 ford f-250 include a weak battery, low oil levels, loose gas cap, or broken o2 sensor.
