The 2000 Lincoln Navigator with itS5.4 L V8 engine require 6 quarts engine oil and the recommended type is SAE 5W-30. Though 5W-30 is specifically mentioned in the manual it won't do any harm to use A5W-20 on hand if that works better for You and the climate that You're typically driving in. The engine may also benefit from using a high mileage oil because of the fact that it's a 20 year old vehicle and likely to have some wear after all that driving. It's not required at all but it could help to remove some of the oil sludge that has accumulated as well as tightening up some of the seals and preventing leaks. -
