The 2001 Lexus GS300 coolant temperature sensor can be found on the bottom of the radiator next to the drain plug for the radiator. This is used to measure the temperature of Your coolant and make sure that it is in the normal range. When You have coolant that is too hot or to cold You will get a light on at Your dash. If You are not getting any coolant temperature reading then that is usually a sign of a problem with this sensor. You will want to make sure to check the wiring to the sensor to make sure that it is free from damage and that it is tight at the sensor as well.

The coolant temperature sensor for a 2001 lexus gs 300 is located below the fuel rail on the side of the engine, near the dipstick.
