The 2004 BMW 325i came standard with a 2.5L engine that will need to run on full synthetic or synthetic blended 5W-30 motor oil. This engine will have a motor oil capacity of 6.9 US quarts when the filter is included. The oil drain plug will need to be removed using a 17mm socket. If You are using a torque wrench it will need 25 lbs-ft of torque. If You're going to replace the fluids on Your own You can expect to spend between $30 and $40 on fluid costs but if You take it in to a shop the price will range between $110 and $140.
