The 2005 Acura RL has a 3.5 L V6 engine that needS5W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil in all temperatures or 0W-20 is acceptable to use also. The capacity for the vehicle iS4.5 quarts with a filter or 4.2 quarts without a filter and the torque for the drain plug is 29 ft/lbs. The difference between synthetic and conventional is that synthetic is man made using chemical compounds and contains fewer contaminants than conventional. Oil is really important because it will help to keep the engine clean and running. The oil and the filter should be changed every 7,500 to 15,000 miles or so because it doesn't last forever. The cost of a change is anywhere from $40 to $50 in labor costs.
